Terms of Service
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the website of The Basics Cohort ("TBC", "we", "I") or register for a TBC cohort. TBC is run by Sachin Sharma. By registering or paying for a cohort, you agree to these terms.
Cohorts
- Each cohort is a live, online program. The schedule, duration, fee and syllabus are listed on the cohort's page.
- Registering does not reserve a seat. Your seat is confirmed only after your payment is verified.
- I may make reasonable changes to the syllabus, session timings or tools to keep the content current. If a session has to be moved, I'll tell you in advance and a recording will be shared.
- If a cohort is cancelled by TBC before it starts, you'll get a full refund. See the Refund Policy.
Payments
- Fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are paid by UPI to the details shown after registration.
- Fees cover access to the live sessions, recordings, assignments and the private community group for that cohort.
- All fees are non-refundable. See the Refund Policy for details.
Your conduct
- Be respectful to the teacher and other students in sessions and in the community group.
- Don't share session links, recordings or course material with people outside your cohort.
- I may remove anyone who harasses others or disrupts sessions, without a refund.
Content and your work
- Session recordings, slides, notes and other course material belong to TBC. You can use them for your own learning, but not resell or republish them.
- Projects you build during the cohort are yours. I may ask to showcase your project (with credit); you can always say no.
Third-party tools
Cohorts use third-party services such as GitHub, Vercel, Supabase and AI tools. You create and manage those accounts yourself and are bound by their terms. Any paid plans you choose to buy for these tools are your own cost and are not part of the cohort fee.
No guarantees
I teach every cohort carefully, but I can't guarantee any particular result, such as a job, an income or a successful product. What you get out of a cohort depends on the effort you put in.
Liability
The website and cohorts are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, TBC's total liability for any claim related to a cohort is limited to the fee you paid for that cohort.
Changes
I may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. The version in force when you paid applies to your cohort.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
